If you are thinking about installing roof ventilation, review the information below to find out how roof ventilation works, why you need it, its benefits, and the different options available to you.
How do Vented Skylights work?
As their name suggested, vented skylights have two key features. Firstly, they allow natural light to reach low-light spaces in your home - such as an attic roof space or a windowless room. Secondly, they’re engineered to expel or release any moist or hot air trapped in those spaces that can cause problems.
What are the benefits of vented skylights?
- They allow natural light to enter dimly-lit spaces.
- They expel problematic trapped air from confined spaces.
- They cost nothing to operate.
- They are easy to install with little to no ongoing maintenance costs.
- Natural light helps deter pest infestations.
What are the different subfloor ventilation types?
There are two different types of skylight ventilation to suit different parts of your home - ventilators, and ventilated tubular skylights. Depending on the type of home you have, you may benefit from having both types.
Ventilators: These long-lasting, wind-driven air extractors are unique in that they also feature an acrylic head that allows natural light into the space directly beneath them.
Our ventilator option is the Turbobeam, Benefits of the Turbobeam include:
